The Fisher Home & School Club is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the students, teachers, administrators and families at RJ Fisher Middle School. We are made up of a nine-member Executive Board, several hundred volunteers, and a General Membership representing more than 1000 families and over 1200 students. We work to raise funds and to connect volunteers for essential programs that support academic, social and campus partners as well as provide a forum for open communication.
The purposes of the RJ Fisher Home & School Club:
- to establish, promote, and maintain open communication through positive working relationships between parents, faculty, and the community that enhance the educational environment of those children attending R. J. Fisher Middle School,
- to support, promote, and enhance the best education possible for the students, and assist in the general welfare of R. J. Fisher Middle School by raising funds and volunteers to provide for various programs, supplies, and equipment,
- and to conduct such other actions as the Board may determine will improve the educational, community, and aesthetic life of R. J. Fisher Middle School located at 19195 Fisher Avenue, in Los Gatos, California, in Los Gatos Union School District.
We hold regular monthly meetings throughout the school year. Typically held on the 4th Wednesday of the month, most Home & School Club (HSC) meetings are held in conjunction with the School Site Council (SSC), and we call this our School Advisory Council (SAC). At our first SAC meeting of the school year in September, members vote on our operating budget. At our annual meeting held in May, members vote to elect our Board of Directors and the preliminary operating budget for the following school year.
